Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following (preferred experience 10+ years; minimum 5 years): EMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, MD, or DO OR recent military medical experience (e.g., 68W, 18D, 4N, HM-8404, 8202, 8403) Interdisciplinary background across fire, police, EMS, or military strongly preferred Required Training & Credentials NAEMT TECC and/or TCCC Provider (Instructor certification preferred) If not currently certified, must be willing to obtain through Penn Tactical Solutions Strong understanding of trauma care, tactical medicine, MARCH algorithm, and high-threat response concepts Current CPR/BLS certification Ideal Candidates Will Have Teaching or instructor experience (NAEMT, AHA, military, agency-based training) Ability to teach diverse audiences, including schools, churches, workplaces, and community groups Ability to adapt teaching style with sensitivity to audience needs and comfort levels Excellent communication and classroom management skills Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability Comfort working indoors, outdoors, and in scenario-based environments Ability to lift/move training equipment Responsibilities Deliver high-quality training following PTS curriculum and national guidelines Tailor instruction to the audience, presenting content appropriately for schools, houses of worship, community organizations, and first responders Maintain a professional, safe, and supportive learning environment Represent Penn Tactical Solutions professionally at all client locations Assist with setup, teardown, and equipment maintenance Provide feedback to students and complete necessary course documentation Uphold PTS standards for safety, accuracy, and instructional excellence Compensation Competitive per-diem instructor rates based on experience and certifications Travel expenses reimbursed (mileage, tolls, parking, etc.) Optional commission opportunities for gear or kit sales generated through class interest or networking This is not required—only available if instructors wish to participate Opportunities for advanced courses and specialized teaching roles Discounts on training gear, kits, and equipment
