Do EMS Providers Really Need Body Armor?
Violence against EMS is increasing, and body armor is becoming part of the conversation. While most soft armor won’t stop a stabbing unless it’s spike rated, it can reduce injury from slash attacks and handgun threats. As risks grow and more agencies adopt protective gear, body armor is quietly edging toward becoming an industry standard in EMS.
